dvd decrypter is only a ripper a very very good one at that,it will rip to files/folder or an iso image file. when it first came out it didnt need any help in the form of anydvd, but times change and now it does.
dvd shrink as above for needing help now but this will reduce the size (shrink) to fit the media you choose ie (dvd5=4.37 gig or dvd9=8.5 gig) you have control over what you rip and how big it will be , you also have a fair bit of conttrol over trhe speed / quality of the compression.
the above 2 are free
clonedvd2 is a very powerfull ripper compresser and has a few handy features like ripping only the movie but keeping the menu's it is fast and very easy to use , you will master it in no time , this needs an uptodate decrypter in the form of anydvd or similar to rip a retail move as do they all.
dvdfab i have not used but you can get all the info on it here it is essecially the same as those listed above imo only without using it i cant comment
Since i ahve shrink,clonedvd2, nero recode and anydvd i dont need anything else

recode All of them has a glitch in that they hang the system if trying to transcode on the fly (disc to disc) shrink on the other hand has no problem with this .
as they are both free try the one then the other.

I do like shrink even though it is no longer supported via its creator (due to legal reasons) its a solid bit of software.
credit to the opensource comunity there!
